Our Story
The Art Baazi Store began its journey on 27th August 2020 born out of a quiet passion for art and a loud desire to share it with the world. What started as a single page filled with Mandala doodles and handmade sketches soon turned into a creative sanctuary for people of all ages. In the middle of a pandemic, when the world felt uncertain, art became a powerful way to reconnect with oneself, with tradition, and with joy. That’s when The Art Baazi Store was lovingly built to bring Indian folk art closer to hearts and homes.

From one woman’s passion to a vibrant platform for many..... this is our story, and it’s still being written.
At The Art Baazi Store, we believe that art is not just an activity it’s a way of life. Born from a deep passion for Indian Folk Art, what started as a humble Instagram page has now grown into a full-fledged creative store. We wanted to create a space where tradition meets creativity, and where anyone (beginner or expert) can explore, learn, and express themselves through art. From thoughtfully designed practice books to DIY kits, from online workshops to handpicked stationery, everything we offer is crafted with purpose and love.

We don’t just sell products we create experiences that bring joy, mindfulness and a sense of pride in Indian heritage.
Meet the Founder

Hey lovely people!
I’m Swasti Maheshwari.. an artist, educator and the heart behind The Art Baazi Store.
My journey into the world of art wasn’t planned it was pure instinct, heart and a deep-rooted love for Indian traditions. I began by doodling Mandalas and experimenting with colors as a way to calm my mind. What started as therapy soon became passion, and then a purpose.

Over time, I discovered a growing love for India’s traditional art forms.. the bold lines of Madhubani, the fine detailing in Kalamkari, the tribal stories in Gond, and the raw beauty of Warli. Each form has a soul, and I felt to preserve it, not just through admiration but by making it a part of everyday life.

That’s where The Art Baazi Store was born. It’s not just a store it’s my heart on paper, my culture in colors, and my way of inviting people to explore their own creativity.
I personally create, curate, and test every product and workshop to ensure it’s as beginner-friendly, soulful, and inspiring as it can be.
My hope is that when you engage with anything from The Art Baazi Store you don’t just make art, you make a memory!
Swasti Maheshwari
